You will find that N.M.P.I. is not a group of "trophy" hunters or thrill seeker but instead a tightly knit group of researching professionals that have helped people all over the Midwest with their haunted locations! You will find that we NEVER use digital equipment but instead, using analog equipment are able to provide evidence that can stand the test of time! There are many out there now days that believe that faster, easier and cheaper is the way to go but N.M.P.I. will never cut corners! N.M.P.I. is a non-profit organization. We want to alert everyone out there that there are a number of groups that are claiming to be non-profits when in reality they are not. In order to actually be a non-profit organization, you MUST be registered with the Secretary of State's Office. These groups are NOT credible groups. They are trying to dupe the public. If you want to search which groups are REAL non-profits and which groups are frauds simply go to the Secretary of State Office and search the name. *You will also find that there are no groups anywhere with higher standards in both evidence collection and professionalism!* |

N.M.P.I. is a non-profit organization and although doesn't charge for investigations, does accept donations that get used by the group to pay for such things as travel expenses, film developing, etc. We hope that you will visit our store page and help to further the research! Also, a reminder, donations don't have to be money of course. Tapes, 35 mm 400 speed film, old tape recorders not being used anymore, old 35mm cameras are great, tripods, the list goes on. If you have something like this lying around not getting used anymore, just drop me a line and we can put it to very good use!

N.M.P.I. Protocol
This is a list of the protocol that
must be followed by all members of the investigative team upon
any investigation whether with the team or on an individual
basis. We must have these rules in order to conduct a
professional investigation, keep a good working relationship
with the community and preserve the purity of the collected
paranormal evidence.
In order for us to conduct a
professional investigation we must all cooperate fully and work
as a team. We cannot have members falling on each other and
getting in each other’s way. We must have good communication so
that we know where every member of the team is at all times. We
do not want to get any false positive results due to a member
being where he/she should not be. Also, during any investigation
there will be tasks assigned to each member of the investigating
team. These tasks that are assigned must be followed and not
varied from since it will affect the end results of the entire
investigation.
We must keep a good working relationship with the entire
community. It is already difficult enough being paranormal
investigators and finding acceptance within the community. There
are and are going to be people out there that will think we are
crazy and also get angry due to it going against their religious
beliefs. We will need to be polite and courteous at all times
while representing N.M.P.I.
Keeping the integrity of all scientific evidence of the
paranormal must remain a primary focus in any investigation.
There are many people that will not accept any evidence of the
paranormal as legitimate and will pick apart any and all
evidence. If we are not careful in the collection methods, it
will only show fault and destroy the evidence we have collected.
The following list
of protocol is signed by each and every member of N.M.P.I. or
they are not allowed to be on our team. This is how
serious we are about providing the best service to all of our
clients as well as the best evidence that can be obtained by any
paranormal group!
1. During investigations or any other time while representing our organization, you must conduct yourself professionally. Laughing and enjoying yourself is acceptable but it must not interfere with the task at hand, the investigation and it is not done in front of the client as they may be fear of the situation and it may look like we are making a joke of it.
2. We must always remember to be respectful of the home/business owner and never downgrade them in any way or make them feel that they are not the most important aspect of the investigational services we are providing.
3. While investigating, we must all do our part to collect evidence to the best of our ability always keeping in mind that we must maintain the integrity of the evidence above all else. We all have differing characteristics and sometimes one person is the key to the collection of evidence.
4. We must all contribute to the investigation. Everyone needs to do their part regardless of the task, even if that task is simply note taking. We must all work together as a team on investigations; including carrying equipment in and out, set-up and breaking down of equipment also.
5. There are to be no outside guests brought by anyone to any N.M.P.I. investigation unless this person is pre-arranged and agreed upon by the N.M.P.I. founder.
6. Being a team N.M.P.I. must impose certain standards of conduct where investigations are concerned. The following rules apply to every investigator on the team at all times.
A. No N.M.P.I. member is allowed to do “personal” investigations without making every attempt to bring the investigation to the group as a whole first. If the group cannot do it, then with permission from the founder, it may be done. We need to do this because we are a team. Every effort must be made at all times to investigate as a team whenever possible.
B. Any member may conduct an investigation with other investigators during a commercial investigation, i.e. they attend a commercial tour in some location such as Waverly Hills or similar.
C. Members may not participate in joint investigations between N.M.P.I. and other groups unless it is a group sanctioned event with permission of N.M.P.I. and all evidence is shared equally.
7. Anyone that runs away from a ghost (unless they are in danger of bodily harm) will be dismissed from the team. After all, we are looking for ghosts and if we find one, we don’t want to run away from it. If you are that afraid of seeing a ghost, a paranormal investigative team is not the place that you should be in the first place.
8. Anyone that shows up to an N.M.P.I. investigation under the influence of alcohol will not be allowed to participate in the investigation and if this happens more than one time the individual will be dismissed from the team.
9. Anyone that uses any illegal drugs will be immediately dismissed from the team.
10. Anyone that is taking any prescription medication that impairs judgment or ability such as a narcotic pain killer, etc. will not be allowed to investigate.
11. N.M.P.I. shirts will be worn on all investigations providing they are available. In cases where official shirts are not available, a conservative style black shirt must be worn.
12. Information obtained about a client or location that N.M.P.I. has investigated, may investigate or is being considered to investigate may not be discussed with ANY party outside of accepted “in good standing” members of the N.M.P.I. team without expressed consent provided by the organization’s leader.
13. I understand that the philosophy of N.M.P.I. is that analog equipment is the only “true” evidence of the paranormal as it is able to be scrutinized. I will always adhere to this philosophy and remain true to it at all times.
14. It is the philosophy of N.M.P.I. to not include religion in any form in any investigation. This includes no prayers as well as no mention of demons. The possibility of demons is especially never to be mentioned in the presence of a client even if the client is first to mention it. Religious beliefs belong to the individual and have no place in a paranormal investigation.
